Mind Your Bees 3D Packaging Renders

The Brief
Hamilton, Ontario eco-friendly food wrap company Mind Your Bees contacted us to have some new high quality catalogue assets created for their products to supply their wholesale retail partners for their marketing material.
The Solution
Instead of creating photographic assets, our proposal was to create 3D Models of Mind Your Bees current product line and supply High Quality Renders to replace their photographic assets for catalogue use.
This solution was driven by several key design points:
- Mind Your Bees Wraps are an asset driven product. The core change from SKU to SKU is the textile design. Creating 3D Models allows us to maintain year on year brand consistency while updating their creative assets for a totally clean look.
- Mind Your Bees wanted to start pitching custom white-label versions of their products to their retail partners. Creating 3D Renders meant that we could supply them with custom assets for any given pitch, without the need to create hard goods, send them to photography, and then create a client presentation.
What We Did
We broke down their original packaging, created 3D Models, and used physical samples to simulate the physical visual properties of bees wax wraps.
Mind Your Bees - Photographic Asset
The Lay Flat
The Core Catalogue short for Mind your Bees was the lay flat shot. This shot establishes each pattern set, the number of wraps, and the sizes included with the physical box as a constant scale reference.
In Package Renders
The in-package render establishes a retail shelf experience for ecommerce. This shots replicate the customer's buying experience and will inform their expectations while unboxing their orders.
White Label Renders
On top of bolstering Mind Your Bees core brand with the creation of 3D assets for their product line, we were also able to generate on-the-fly white label presentation materials for client pitches that stayed true to the brand's visual continuity. These assets can be re-skinned for each client proposal to create a customized, eye catching presentation without the need to create physical goods.
Asset Bonus - Motion Graphics
As an added bonus to the repeatability and re-usability of the 3D model assets, Mind Your Bees also now has access to an asset they can use on the fly to create motion graphics for advertisement placement, web content, or social media.
The Conclusion:
For a simillar cost to that of a single photographic session for one product line, we were able to create a re-usable asset with year-on-year repeatable results for a brand with an evolving product line. These assets were able to be leveraged for the clients existing catalogue use, and as a business development tool for ongoing partnership development.

- Increasing Brand Consistency across sales channels
- Creating a long lasting brand asset that can carry Mind Your Bees into a successful ecommerce future
- Saving money compared to the ongoing cost of re-shooting photography for new product launches
- Developing a white label sales pitch tool
